    Good lens

    Price-performance ratio is very good, even though strong competition has emerged with the (better) Sony 1.8/20mm.

    Next to the Zeiss lenses (Batis and Loxia), the best wide-angle lens currently available for Sony E-mount!

    My first one was unfortunately off-centre, the second one is now optically flawless, but the focus ring is anything but smooth. So there seem to be problems with quality assurance, even though the thing is made in Japan.
    Otherwise there is not much to complain about: very good lens, highly recommended for the current price of under 700!     

    Pro

    • sharp already at F2, from F5.6 then also into the corners
    • Chromatic aberration and coma are very low
    • Aperture ring is switchable from 1/3 stops to infinitely variable
    • Generally good workmanship, housing is made entirely of metal
    • electronic contacts for transferring EXIF info (the IBIS also works without problems with this)

    Contra

    • Quality assurance problems (decentration, focus ring stiff)
    • A little heavy
    • No autofocus
