Very good multimedia box with high potential
I'm very happy with this box, with a few accessories and tweaks it can become a fantastic multimedia platform.
I have done the following things to make it really usable and useful:
- bought and connected a MINIX Neo A2 Lite air mouse/keyboard -> it made the box much more usable
- installed Kodi with an external HD -> works perfectly and it's like having a cinema at home
- installed the Mame emulator and connected a PS3 controller (you can find instructions online) -> transformed my TV in an old videogames stationPro
- Easy to set up, with a few addons it can be transformed in a 360 degrees multimedia/play box
Great little machine
Suitable for ubuntu-22.04 just need to make a change to the name of the firmware that makes the Wifi work if below the solution:
sudo -s
mv /lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43455-sdio.MINIX-NEO\ Z83-4.txt /lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43455-sdio.txt
reboot the machinePro

No more UBUNTU
Use for billboard/ browser.
Freezes all the time.
Update does not work (it shows I have no internet but works in browser).
Have now bought additional double expensive Asus. I am very satisfied with this one.Pro

Hardware Super, preinstalled UBUNTU not convincing
With the UBUNTU, everything is set to American. Switching to another locale is not possible without further ado. Updates do not work, or work incorrectly. In the end, the installation is inconsistent. It is best to start from scratch.

Good hardware, outdated software
The device itself is top-notch. Unfortunately, an Ubuntu version 21.4 was installed, which is no longer supported and therefore could not even be updated directly to the current version. I was able to solve this with a bit of searching on the internet.

- Is fast enough for general desktop applications

- The installed Ubuntu 21.4 could not be updated easily
I can only recommend it, don't give Bill a change.
