I can highly recommend the device. The wifi capability is a big plus, as I no longer have to place the printer directly next to the computer, but can place it anywhere in the room. I used to have one of the first wired models, which is getting a bit long in the tooth. Assuming that I could continue to use the writing ribbons from my old P-touch, of which I had a few in the drawer, I decided to buy the new device. To my surprise, I could no longer use my old TZ ribbons. This printer only works with TZ tapes. Therefore only 4 points here.

All in all, a really good product.

Great product, looks very good on the desk.

Plug n Play works great with PT Lite.

It was a bit tricky to establish the W-Lan connection. It took a while via APP but integrating it into the home wifi was quicker.

    At
the beginning I had the problem that it didn't find the printer when printing? Well, it works now.

The range of functions is great and all fonts installed on the computer can be used.

    USB works great
W-Lan at the beginning with slight problems
    I do not have NFC

When downloading software and drivers, it didn't find the driver at first after installation...!
Then, with back and forth, it worked.

    AA batteries in 2023???

Why does this thing need a whole bunch of AA batteries to use without a plug???

Considering all it is is a label printer, which means you already have to spend money getting proprietary sticker cartridges, why am I also
expected to spend money on a whole bunch of batteries if I wish to use it on the go??

Assuming you don't want to have a stash of single-use batteries in a drawer somewhere, then you would be looking to spend at least another CHF 40 for enough batteries to power this thing as well as a wall charger for them as this thing doesn't charge whatever batteries you place inside when plugged in.

At CHF 122 for the product I find it unacceptable that it doesn't come with an in-built battery that automatically charges when plugged in to a mains socket.

Additionally, it features a fancy NFC connection, but the only alternative to that is to use a direct Wi-Fi connection to it?? Why no bluetooth connectivity? I don't understand why I need to disconnect my phone from my Wi-Fi and instead connect it to my label printer in order to print...

On the plus side, the companion app is quite well designed and will even allow you to create and save custom labels. It is a bit annoying however that it doesn't limit the possible label designs displayed purely to the ones compatible with whatever sticker size you currenlty have installed. It only notifies you that you're trying to print on the wrong sized sticker only after you've created. your label and click "Print".
