Astro HQ LLC Luna Display Astropad USB-C
I've been using the Luna Display Astropad USB-C for a few weeks now and I'm delighted with it. Setting it up is child's play - just plug it in, install the free app and connect. I now have my iPad as an additional screen for my Mac Mini and the picture quality is great. I particularly like the option of using the device for headless modes. A real relief for my workflow!
Pro
The Luna Display Astropad USB-C adapter works perfectly and is very easy to install. Within minutes, I had my iPad configured as an additional display for my MacBook Pro. The picture quality is impressive and both the USB-C and wireless connection went smoothly. Highly recommended for mobile working!
Pro
unfortunately unusable, the idea was to connect the 27" Mac to the Mac mini as a 2nd screen, display works, resolution OK. But unfortunately unusable because the mouse pointer is very jerky, delayed and imprecise. What a pity!
I have no idea what the product is like. Because I'm sitting at home waiting for the product. It was supposed to be delivered today between 18:00 and 22:00. At 21:06 I get a text message that the delivery has failed with no way to contact the supplier. I can only give him a new 18:00-22:00 slot on a subsequent day... But why? Why should it work the next time? I assume that the "same day delivery" is pure lie... why didn't the supplier contact me by SMS?

I was already on my way to the recycling centre with my old, much too slow iMac Retina 27'' (2017). I found out from a blog that you can actually still use it as a second screen if you pair it with the LUNA stick.
All you have to do is plug LUNA into the main device (in my case Mac mini with EIZO screen), install the app for device 1 and then the app for device 2 (iMac Retina 27''). Grande, and it actually works!
From an ecological point of view, it's just great to be able to continue using the iMac in a sensible way. I haven't yet tested the performance with my larger image editing programmes or AI, but simple office stuff like emailing and surfing works wonderfully.
The internet says that it is important to connect the screens directly via Ethernet instead of WLAN for performance.

Contra
The connection between the M1 and the old iMac worked very poorly: the mouse movements were very delayed and the screen was pixelated (despite the USB connection), making the product unusable.
