Verbatim Slimline
Blu-ray burner
Verbatim Slimline
Blu-ray burner
The answer from Verbatim support from Eschborn Yes, the drive can also burn 100GB M-Disk
No, this drive does not support this. Make sure that the BDXL format (for Ultra HD Blu-ray) is supported. This drive supports the format: Verbatim Slimline (Blu-ray drive, CD burner, CD drive, DVD burner, DVD drive, Blu-ray burner)
Hello Verbatim writes about this: Compatible with all common CD, DVD, and Blu-ray formats Compatible with BDXL - discs capacities of 100GB and higher In other words, it should be able to cope. However, I have no personal experience of this
Thank you for your experience report. Unfortunately, Blu-Ray is becoming rarer and rarer and the devices are also being discarded. However, I can recommend this Blu-Ray adapter: LG BP55EB40 (Blu-ray) According to customer reviews, it is Plug & Play.
Hoi - in the manual: https://www.verbatim-marcom.com/image_Verbatim-43889_Optical-Drive-User-Guide-German-20_02_508318.pdf from page 4 the formats are listed, hope that helps. LG
It must be in the manual. But it is very unlikely. Smart TVs usually only support the FAT32 file system. DVD/BD have a file system that works quite differently.
Yes, it works perfectly, I also use it on the MacBook Pro.
Yes, that is possible
Could be a problem with the power supply. Does it have two USB ports (Y-cable) for connection to the computer? Both plugged in?
With a simple docking station with 2x "USB Type A" ports. e.g. Verbatim Multiport (HDMI, USB Type C, USB Type A)
If you're running Mac OS X 10.6 or higher, then yes.
I have never burned a BD before. Unfortunately, I can't help.
Hello Basically, the (Blu-Ray burners (note not Reader) are backwards compatible). According to the official website, this burner is capable of burning on DVD DL up to 8.5 GB. Link: https://www.verbatim.de/de/prod/verbatim-external-slimline-usb-30-blu-ray-writer-43890/ I hope I could help you. Greetings
I have tried it. Connected to my Android devices (one is a Samsung smartphone) -> Nothing works, the drive gets no power. This drive also has no driver for Android devices. The internet says there is a way around this, but it looks too complicated to me, so I'd rather put the audio CDs in Dropbox.
If I want to test this for you. How do I do that?
The Verbatim 43890 Blu-Ray burner must be connected to a USB port on a PC or MAC. It is the burning software (NERO,...) that supports the 4K UHD format of the video displayed on the PC or MAC. In this case, the answer is: yes. Not tried on the USB port of a 4K TV. Question to ask the TV supplier.
Yes, that is possible.
USB 3 Micro-B, the hard disk application of my Mac shows a Pioneer BD-RW BDR-UD03.
there is or was an external drive from samsung that only needed a usb connection..i can't think of the name anymore...just google it a bit...good luck
The manufacturer's website states the following under system requirements: PC: Intel Pentium III / AMD Duron 900 MHz or more, 512 MB RAM or more, free USB port, Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10 MAC: Intel Mac, 512 MB RAM or more, free USB port, Mac OS X 10.6 or higher
Yes, this is possible with the appropriate software.
Yes, unfortunately this is the case with Windows, but also with MacOs and Linux. Under Windows, you need player or burning software to be able to play DVDs and Blu-rays with a Blu-ray player or burner. Nero Media Home should work, but there are others. Just try the search engine.
No, this is "only" a Blu-Ray drive. It cannot play 4K Blu-ray. This model has the designation #43889 and cannot do that, but there is another model #43888 and it could play 4K UHD movies. This is the drive that can also play 4K UHD (they are both called the same but only this one plays 4K files): Verbatim Slimline (Blu-ray)
The BD-RE does not differ from a BD-R when read. The "E" at the end stands for "Erasable" and such discs are also rewritable.
