Hey
Basically it should work with the adapter.
The Air PODs Pro 2 are Bluetooth 4.0 upwards compatible.
Just give it a try and otherwise you have 30 days to return it :)
Yes, you can connect your AirPods Max with the Bluetooth 5.0 USB adapter (transmitter & receiver) from Ugreen. The device supports Bluetooth profiles such as A2DP, AVRCP, HID and HSP, which are relevant for audio transmission and microphone functions. This means that the microphone of your AirPods Max should also work if you connect them via this adapter.
Ugreen's Bluetooth 5.0 USB adapter (model 80889) is primarily designed for computers and does not function specifically as an adapter for car audio systems. It is compatible with desktops, laptops, keyboards, mice, printers and Bluetooth speakers, but is not suitable for use in a vehicle with a USB audio port.
If you're looking for a Bluetooth adapter for your car, you should consider a product specifically designed for car audio systems, such as the UGREEN Bluetooth Car Adapter.
The manufacturer does not provide any information regarding Mac OS compatibility. Art. 20676692 is Mac OS compatible according to the manufacturer (UGREEN USB Bluetooth 4.0)
I bought the dongle for the PS4. According to external reports, it also works for the PS5.
Just note that for gaming, ideally aptX LL should be used, which this dongle cannot do (only SBC). Microphone does not work either. So if you intend to play multiplayer with voice chat, it won't work with just the dongle.
I am satisfied because I only play single player on the PS anyway and the audio quality is OK for me personally, considering the price.
Hello Harald66
Most likely this will not work. I suspect that the car radio supports the protocols for FAT32, but the drivers for the Bluetooth profiles A2DP, AVRCP, HID, HSP cannot be installed.

Bluetooth 5.0 allows you to connect multiple devices at the same time. However, there are limitations, because if you use it on Windows for example, you can only choose one headset at a time. Although this should be possible via third-party software, it is not a plug and play solution.
To use the smartphone link between a Windows PC and an iPhone, you need a Bluetooth adapter that is compatible with your PC. The UGREEN USB Bluetooth 5.0 adapter (model 80889) is a good choice as it is compatible with Windows 11 and utilises the latest Bluetooth technology, enabling a reliable and fast connection.
### Requirements for the smartphone link:
- Windows PC: A PC with Windows 11 and a Bluetooth adapter.
- iPhone: An iPhone with iOS 14 or higher.
- Bluetooth adapter: A USB Bluetooth adapter such as the UGREEN 80889 that supports Bluetooth 5.0.
### Advantages of the UGREEN 80889:
- Increased speed and range: offers twice the speed and four times the range compared to Bluetooth 4.0.
- Compatibility: Compatible with Windows 11, 10, 8.1 and 7 and a wide range of devices such as headsets, speakers and more.
- Compact design: Ultra-compact and lightweight, ideal for use on the go or at home.
To install the driver of the UGREEN USB Bluetooth 5.0 adapter without using the supplied CD, follow these steps:
## Step 1: Connect the adapter
Plug the Bluetooth adapter into a free USB port on your computer.
## Step 2: Automatic detection
Most modern Windows operating systems (Windows 11, 10, 8.1) recognise the adapter automatically and install the necessary drivers without an additional CD. This process should be completed within a few seconds.
## Step 3: Manual driver installation (if necessary)
If the automatic installation does not work, you can download the drivers directly from the UGREEN website. Visit the official UGREEN website, search for the product with the part number 80889 and download the corresponding drivers.
## Step 4: Install the driver
Run the downloaded driver file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
## Step 5: Check the connection
After installation, the Bluetooth adapter should be visible in your system. You can now connect Bluetooth devices such as headsets, mice, keyboards and other devices.
This process is usually simple and does not require any additional CDs or manual intervention, as the drivers are installed automatically in most cases.
Ugreen's "Bluetooth 5.0 USB Adapter (Transmitter & Receiver)", with product number 80889, is designed to work with Bluetooth-enabled devices, but is not specifically suitable for use in aircraft with headphones.
- Compatibility: The adapter is compatible with computers and Bluetooth peripherals such as keyboards, mice, speakers and headphones, but does not work directly with games consoles or other devices without a USB interface.
- Aeroplane use: Airplanes often have specific rules regarding the use of electronic devices, and Bluetooth headsets may be subject to restrictions during certain phases of the flight. However, the adapter itself should have no technical problems operating in an aircraft if the aircraft rules allow it.
In summary, although the adapter may technically work, it is important to check the aircraft's rules on the use of electronic devices before using it.
Doesn't work in the usb of my car, doesn't even detect. I bought it for this and made sure it had A2DP. I also tried to put it on my pc to download the driver etc. It only works halfway, the computer says it's connected, the phone says "can't connect", it sends the files but doesn't receive them etc. So unusable... I have a recent powerful computer, Windows 11 and the phone is a Galaxy s22, so I don't think the problem is with my devices which have no problems connecting to other devices.
