I have switched the UPC router to bridge mode and switched off the WLAN. I did not change the SSID. That works fine. However, I don't know if this is the most sensible solution.

These are the Deco M9 Plus :-) As far as I know, there is no M9 without Plus.

Well, the Deco can also connect to each other via the LAN cables, so if it is possible to connect the Deco with the technician box to another Deco outside via LAN, then the mesh network is saved. Theoretically, this could also be done via WLAN from the technician box, but it definitely works better with a LAN connection. The third Deco can then be connected again via wireless.

Type C, 2pins. And its a fantastic product, I use 3 of them and it covers a 300m2, 3 floor house with 70cm thick walls.
Hello, I have 3 Deco Repeaters set up in my house, all connected without Ethernet cables, working fine. However, they must not be too far apart, otherwise the signal cannot be transmitted.
The Deco from TP-Link do not need to activate an app for parental control and antiphishing protection. These functions, called Home Care, are already integrated in the routers, you only have to switch them on and configure them in the Deco application.
I have the same setup in router mode, provided your box is also the "narrow" one and not the more square one (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/24/Connectbox.jpeg/800px-Connectbox.jpeg). Have you updated DECO and tried factory-reset? To find the error, can you connect a device directly to the modem via Ethernet the next time you lose the connection and see if that works?

Yes, each of the three Decos has 2x RJ45. All three Decos are identical. When setting up, one is defined as the main node - the one that is connected to the Internet (modem) via cable. I have connected my TV to a second Deco via RJ45. Works perfectly with UHD from Netflix or from the NAS. I don't know for sure whether the Swisscom box can handle it. But I would be surprised if it didn't.

Download 195 MB/s, upload 220 MB/s. However, I have an Internet line with 200 MB/s.
Unfortunately, this is not possible, I have not found an option to do so.

They have to connect to the router with an Ethernet cable and since they have 2 ports each, they can also connect to the TV box with the cable

Yes, I do that myself. Each unit has 2 RJ25 outputs. I have a 5-way switch connected to it with a TV, BD, PS4, receiver, everything works perfectly.
Dear Mannyd First of all: the Deco M9 Plus system is not just a repeater, but a mesh system, three-band 😀 (-->google). For directly connected devices (PC, printer), LAN is considered the fastest. You are already well served with network cabling. I assume you are still looking for WLAN coverage? We have had good experiences with the Deco 9M Plus in our large house (4 floors plus an extension with 2 floors with a total of 6 Deco panels (because 3 units from Deco are connected via LSN cable) with 5 adults: i.e. exclusively via WLAN, without a LAN connection in every room. This does not answer your question, but from my point of view, the solution you are looking for would be unnecessary.
