You would need this cable: be quiet! CP-6620 PCIe dual cable for modular power supplies
I don't understand the defect, you apparently can't use it because you don't have the right cable... I'll have to write a text module for the rest so that I can copy and paste it if necessary. Always the same topic with the >1200W power supplies.
In this case, please contact our customer service directly so that the problem can be checked and you can be helped accordingly. We apologise for the delay. helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc/en/requests/new
According to the manufacturer, the power supply has a C20 connection. This is not necessarily relevant for a Swiss socket; cables with a C20 connection can support up to 16A @230V, while most commercially available cables support a maximum of 10A. The 10A limit therefore comes from the cable and not from the fuse/connection, as a T13 connection usually runs on a 16A fuse (always check yourself how the sockets are fused, this varies from household to household, especially with older circuits only a 10A fuse may be installed). The power supply can therefore draw approx. 5.9A at 100% load at 230V (efficiency and other factors not taken into account). The power supply unit can therefore be plugged into a normal T13 socket with the appropriate cable.
For 110V, yes, but T23 is unknown there. In Switzerland, however, we have 230V, so it should be max. 6-8A.
The Question isn´t silly. A standard swiss socket Typ 13 is rated for a maximum of 10Amps (A). So it could provide a maximum of 2300W. So technically it should fit without a problem. But there is one. "Normal" PSUs (with lower Watts) have on the back a C14 typ socket where you connect your powercable which has a C13 connector. The Typ C13/C14 is rated for max 10A. But this PSU has a C20 socket which is rated for a maximum of 16A. Why it has a C20 and not an usual C14? The PSU uses @110V more than 10A. https://de.thermaltake.com/toughpower-gf3-1650w-gold-tt-premium-edition.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_60320#Appliance_couplers https://www.esti.admin.ch/inhalte/pdf/MUB/Englisch/Info_SEV1011_de-fr-it-en.pdf You cant find a cable which has C19 to a plug T12. Its not allowed. However, for this situation there is a special cable with a built-in 10A fuse. In this situation it is allowed. You dont have to buy it by yourself, Digitec has to provide it to you. Steffen Adapterkabel (1.50 m) So, long answer in short. Yes, thers is a solution to use this PSU with a standard T13 Socket. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Digitec (or any other Swiss dealer) is obliged to deliver electrical devices with a Swiss plug.
