The SRG SSR SatAccess card version 7.0 is compatible with the Swiss CI Module Viaccess. This module is optimised to work with SRF smartcards of different versions, including version 7.0, and supports SRF channels via Viaccess. It works with all satellite receivers equipped with a CI slot, guaranteeing trouble-free decoding of SRG SSR channels.

The "sat access" viaccess cards of version V5.0 must be renewed (older versions are already blocked). In this case, reception is no longer possible. Further information at card.broadcast.ch The module cannot be inserted incorrectly. However, no pins in the TV or receiver must be bent (pushed over) (module sockets must not be damaged either). The receivers should be UHD-compatible and/or support HEVC or H.265 and contain an HbbTV function. Details: broadcast.ch/en/television/satellite-dvb-s#renewal-of-the-sat-access-card

Helpful answer

Additional information to the previous speaker regarding duration of use: My old Viaccess module worked for about 7-8 years, then there were increasingly frequent reception faults on the coded channels SRF1 and SRF2. According to the SRF hotline, modules that are too old are no longer supported in updates and may no longer work at all. If the apartment is supplied via cable TV network, I recommend clarifying whether the SFR channels are switched on the cable network. With satellite reception it should not be a problem.
