Suunto Smart Heart Rate Belt
Suunto Smart Heart Rate Belt
On the Suunto site it says the following (comes as a recommended accessory under the Rache watch): The Suunto Smart heart rate strap has an R-R memory that is used when the watch is not in Bluetooth Smart radio range. This is great for team sports, for example, as it allows recordings to be made without wearing the watch. The memory function is supported by all watches with Bluetooth Smart, except Suunto Run, Suunto 7 and Suunto Kailash. Have the Race but only use the strap with the Garmin device on the bike.
Hello, I also had trouble with the measurement. It almost drove me to white heat, including the battery changes you described. However, at some point I realised that it was the belt that was causing the problem and not the sensor. I have now been travelling with the new strap and the old sensor for about a year without any problems. Incidentally, I also had a Suunto 9 and now a Vertical. Unfortunately, I don't know of an alternative to the Suunto sensor, but try a new strap and then wash it carefully by hand after training.
Quote from Suunto support website: "The strap can be connected to multiple sports watches and apps.... For mobile devices and smart watches, we recommend using the free Sports Tracker app... which supports the use of a heart rate strap." So there must be a way to connect directly to the" Sports tracker" app(differentiated from sports watches) on a mobile device(differentiated from smart watches)...? Too bad no one else came up with the idea before...🤔
Hey hey, The strap only works in addition to the watch. It doesn't have a chip or anything and doesn't record anything on its own, but simply sends the heart rate to the watch.
It's like this. I still need a second strap in M. So if you like, I can buy the new strap in M that you get with the sensor.
The only difference I know is that the Smart Sensor has not been available for months and the heart rate belt is available overnight! Unfortunately, that's all I can help you with...
