Satechi St-Cmam
USB-C, 4 Ports
Good evening, I have been using the adapter for 2 years with a MacBook Pro 13'' (2018) and have no problems at all. Sincerely, Urs Ryf
Yes, very good. I also have a MS Surface Book 2. Monitor with HDMI works great in battery mode and also in charging mode.
Interesting question. I had to test it right away. Unfortunately, it doesn't work at all with the Switch. It didn't even charge the console, although a PD 3.0 45W network was connected and I didn't get a picture either. Best regards Andrew
Yes, it has a USB-C port on the adapter, so when you connect the power supply there, the notebook is charged at the same time via the one cable.
Have been able to connect the Samsung S8 to a TV and watch videos. Works
no, because the switch docking station contains additional electronics, no other normal adapters will work.
I had bought the docking station for an HP Envy laptop (as it was advertised in the shop as recommended hardware), but it only seems to be compatible with Apple products. Returned to sender...
In principle, this also works with a notebook from HP. Unfortunately, I cannot judge whether a possible charging function via USB-C will also work. However, the other functions should be available. In principle, the adapter also works with Windows 10, but I cannot guarantee whether it will work specifically with the HP Elite X2. You will have to test this yourself, willy-nilly.
I have a Dell XPS 15 of the latest generation and it works perfectly. You can connect up to a 4K monitor to the HDMI output. The two USB Type-A ports go up to 5 GBit/s per port. However, you cannot connect a device to the USB Type-C port. This is only there to charge the notebook. So it's ideal for all MacBooks, but there's no option for Dell notebooks yet, except with the docking stations from Dell itself. If the HP Spectre has a USB-C port then yes.
Basically, I had no problems with all the different screens and TVs. If possible, however, I would test the Samsung screen I want. Because when screens with any docking stations (HDMI and Displayport )bucked, it was Samsung.
No, only with 30 Hz.

A hub should work independent of the OS and hardware. I personally would buy a different. This is overpriced.
No, unfortunately not. I tested it with a 15" MacBook Pro Late 2016.
According to Satechi's official website, the adapter supports 4k resolutions via the HDMI port, which means that it must support HDMI standard 2.0. I will buy the product and give feedback if 21:9 is not supported.
Yes its possible, but it could be that it doesnt charge as fast as usaly
