I thought this remote control was also suitable for the Applr -tv box ? But I don't read anything about that! Is that possible?

You can pair the R2 with an Apple TV, the direction and back buttons work, but no other secondary functions: no volume, no control centre, no Siri... so it's impossible to adjust the language or subtitles during playback. It's not a first choice for an Apple TV, but if you need it for something else and want to use it with the Apple TV as well, why not.
