I have no experience with Macbooks, but basically a USB-C port should support DisplayPort version 1.2, which is required for this monitor. Unless you already have a display cable, I recommend buying a cable directly from USB-C to Displayport so that the adapter to mini-dp is not necessary. You can find such cables here, for example: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/producttype/video-kabel-295?pdo=1504-9524%3A316160%7C1504-9524%3A325484%7C1504-9525%3A7968&tagIds=77-532

No, the stand is not good on this model. You can do absolutely nothing, no height adjustment, no rotation, and yes when your table moves it wobbles. So in terms of the base, it's a bad product. But to get a 2K 144hz screen for the price is really good. For me, this stand is really no problem.

If both the graphics card and the monitor allow it, 2560x1440@144Hz can certainly be operated with HDMI 2.0: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Refresh_frequency_limits_for_standard_video It is usually the monitors that do not allow a higher frequency under HDMI. On page 14 of the manual, you will also find information about the connection: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201806/20180626101441908/BN46-00712A-Ger.pdf
