Can the microphone also be connected to a PC or laptop? Is it recognised by Windows?

I purchased the "Rode VideoMic Me-C" microphone from Galaxus. I connected the microphone to my Samsung 10plus mobile phone with Android 12 and USB-C. The microphone only works in the selfie direction, but not in the direction of the mobile phone's main camera. Is this normal or a technical defect of the Microphone? Thanks for answers

Which of the VideoMic Me versions is the best for interviews (with Iphone SE)? (Interviewed person sitting a few feet away (so about 1 meter to 2.5 meters away). (VideoMic Me or VideoMic Me-L or videoMic Me-C?)

Thank you, helpful answer. I am wondering what the ME (Allround) is like in comparison to the ME-L. Both are compatible with Smartphones, so I'm not sure what the difference is. Nice day.
