Questions about Razer Tartarus V2

I wonder why such products are only under the rubric of gaming. Should be part of the standard inventory for every technical draughtsman. Just like programmable mice.

For the Tartarus V2, once the macros are programmed using the "Razer Synapse" application, are they saved on the keyboard so that it can be used even if "Razer Synapse" is not running? This is the case on the Razer Blackwidow V3 in any case.

Yup, the V2 will let you store 2 profiles on the device so that you can take it with either of those to play with at another location on a different PC and not need Razer Synapse for it to remember your settings. Using Razer Synapse allows you to swap between a huge numbers of profiles. I've splashed out on the Azeron Cyborg, so if you want you can buy my V2....

Unfortunately not, it is intended for Mac and PC.

Would this work for left-handed people? I can see that the little thumb stick is on the wrong side, but that is OK. Would the hand feel comfortable otherwise?

The hand rest is not flat, it is curved. I see two problems, not really comfortable (more pressure in the palm under little finger) and it is hard to reach the top buttons with the little finger.

How is the device recognised in the games? Simply as an additional controller or is programming mandatory with the Razer software? I am looking for an additional game controller in the form of a small additional keyboard - when I change the key assignment in the game, I would like to assign an action to the normal "A" key on the keyboard, for example, another action to the right trigger of the controller and a third to the first key of the additional keyboard. Apart from the driver, I would like to do without additional software if possible. Thank you for experience reports

Razer Synapse is unfortunately mandatory for your scenario. The software in v3 beta is good, but unfortunately a bit resource-heavy.

Yes, only with a keyboard/mouse adapter. There are 2 models; XIM 4 and XIM Apex. But hard to get and again need to be configured with an Android or iOs app.
