M3 16" pro Max works tiptop, owc is known for mac compatibility
Anyone experience with the dock and a display on 5120x1440@240Hz without any errors/laggy behaviour?
It runs smoothly on MacOs with 2 studio displays via Thunderbolt, so it should also work with this configuration ...
The dock supports up to two 4K monitors via USB-C, regardless of whether they're connected via HDMI or DisplayPort behind it. All good then.
attaching a screen works fine. but the monitor must have a usb-c connection. otherwise you'll need another adapter...
Yes, of course, all Macs with a Thunderbolt port ...
I don't quite understand what you mean by "backwards compatible" because USB-C is the latest standard in terms of USB as far as I know. If you mean in comparison to Thunderbolt 3 or 4, as Mac computers have, I understand what you mean. :-) The physical connector of USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 and 4 are identical. If your device has USB-C and your charging cable connects through it, then it should work here too.
Yes it is possible. Thunderbolt 3 uses the USB-C connector type. I have been using the Dokingstation daily for one and a half years for business with my MacBook Pro (M1Max chip) and a Benq SW271 4k image processing monitor, which is connected to the Dokingstation via a USB-C cable.
Yes

Yes, a Thunderbolt 4 cable 80 cm long is included.
Yes, fine. I use it with the M1 MAX.
I just read today that the prices of important metals will soon move sharply upwards. Prices are going crazy at the moment anyway. Products are brought onto the market and are no longer available after a couple of weeks, etc.
