I had just bought this product for in the shop. Style and robustness etc. great. But: it does not recognise the SIM card -> A back and forth with Swisscom. On another device the SIM card works, so it can't be this one. I don't know if it matters which phone network provider you have a subscription with. Conclusion: This device does not work with a Swisscom subscription and that should be mentioned in the product description. Let's see, hopefully I can "come to an agreement" with the Digitec team....
I can't confirm this across the board. I've had a Swisscom subscription for years and it works straight away. I even have a SIM from 1999, i.e. the very old one that is not really liked in smartphones, although it works there too. I have also tried newer prepaid Swisscom SIMs, and they work exactly the same.
However, I don't have a Swisscom SIM of the latest generation, i.e. with all the latest security features etc. Swisscom should be able to tell you exactly what doesn't work. If necessary, just get a new SIM in a Swisscom shop. With the same subscription and number, they can do it in minutes and I don't think it costs anything. I did it once with a prepaid.
With a subscription, it will certainly be free of charge.
