Yes, but it makes little sense.
Don't remember if this was a parallel imported lens I bought from Digitec or if it was a "Swiss" version. Either way, there is no technical/quality difference between the two types but has something to do with warranties (which you pay extra for for the Swiss version). I have had the lens with me all over the world and never had any problems. You still have warranty on parallel imports btw... Hope this helps...

Where does it say only 1Y? it says 2y... and Digitec does not have to give you 3 years... Nikon gives you the third year... and only if you register within the specified time. Digitec has NOTHING to do with the third year and therefore has no obligations. There is a Nikon Swiss Warranty logo on the picture... so... you can register it.
Unfortunately, there is no UV filter for this lens, as no filter can be screwed onto the lens.
