It's a laptop, if it didn't have a keyboard it wouldn't be a laptop, would it?
Yes, this works well because it runs via USB-C. However, for perfect connectivity, the original Microsoft Dock is recommended.
I started out using the pen from the Surface Pro 7 - top notch. Now I have the 7-series pen on the Surface Book 2. On the Surface Pro 7, I now use my old pen that I originally used with a Surface Pro 4. It also fits. Seems like all pens are compatible with the different Surface.
The model with the Intel Core i7-1065G7 is equipped with an active cooling system (fan).
Unfortunately, the Type Covers from Microsoft do not have Bluetooth connectivity. A connection is only possible via the physical connection.

All Surface Pro 7 models come with a standard audio output jack 3.5mm, the hole is located on the left side where you can plug in your wired headphones.

This PC generally supports editing software. However, the latter may sometimes be slowed down on these softwares (Premier pro...) because they are very heavy. Do not expect the fluidity of a tower designed for this purpose. We cannot give you a precise answer, because it depends on the files you are going to process, etc.

Hello Isabel, In and of itself, it is important that you pay attention to what connections you have on the screen and on the docking station. If you buy the mini docking station, you must either have a suitable cable or adapter, as it has mini displayport connections. Otherwise there is not much to consider, of course there are different versions of the Surface that have more or less performance. However, if you only use programmes like Excel and don't use it for gaming or similar. If it is easy enough, then you just need to order the right cables.
