I think that's because some products are generally more expensive in Switzerland than elsewhere. This also has to do with possible tariff prices. Besides, you shouldn't complain to Digitec but directly to Oculus, as it costs just as much there.
From what I know Assetto Corsa is not available on Quest
It's just one of those things with the price algorithms. It is probably assumed that buyers are prepared to pay more for the old model due to the poor availability of the Quest 3 512 GB. But I absolutely agree with you and hope that nobody falls for it.

No, why should you? You download the games directly from the app store of the Meta via WLAN to the glasses and they are installed there in the memory of the glasses.

Are you using Air-Link or the USB cable? I've had the latter for a week and it works much better than without the cable. However, I sometimes have connection problems... What you can try is to open the Oculus OculusDebugTool ("C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics") and then turn on the console. Here you can also activate the Performance HUD, then you will see details about performance and connection.

I ordered an extra long one off wish, it takes a while too get here but it's just as good for half the price.
You kind of answer the question yourself. Air Link and cable connection are exactly there to access SteamVR or the Oculus desktop app.

Yes, you can connect to Steam and play all Steam VR games with it. Just connect it to your PC via cable or WiFi, then it's a "classic" VR goggle like Rift etc. and works with Steam VR.

Unfortunately, I don't know. The glasses have their own memory onto which the games etc. are loaded. Therefore, no other equipment is needed. All games are downloaded and purchased online via the glasses. YouTube etc. can also be accessed directly via the glasses.
