There should not be a technically relevant difference. According to research https://www.reddit.com/r/logitech/comments/xx1sd0/difference_between_mx_master_3s_and_the_for/, there only seems to be a difference in the manufacturer's warranty. In this case, however, this would be irrelevant, as we offer a 2-year warranty for both. The price difference is mainly due to the purchasing conditions.
You do not necessarily need a mouse pad for better performance with this mouse because it features an 8000 DPI Darkfield optical sensor that tracks accurately on virtually any surface, including glass. However, using a mouse pad can provide additional comfort, smoother glide, and surface protection.
The mouse is designed to work well on hard, smooth surfaces without requiring a traditional mouse pad, but some users may prefer a mouse pad for enhanced comfort or to protect their desk surface.
The mouse is equipped with so-called "quiet clicks", which means that the clicks are significantly quieter than with conventional mice. However, it is not completely silent, but reduces the clicking noise by around 90 per cent.
I have been using the MX Master 3S for some time now and find it very ergonomic - especially in comparison to flatter standard mice. A true 1:3:1 hand position as with vertical mice is not quite possible, but the slightly angled shape still ensures a very relaxed hand position. I don't have any cramping when working, even during prolonged use.
This mouse is compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems. It supports connections via Bluetooth or USB, allowing seamless use across different devices and platforms.
According to my research, it is generally relatively difficult to make an exact statement, as "small" is a relative size specification and personal taste also plays a role. According to the manufacturer, the dimensions of the mouse are as follows:
MX Master 3S Mouse: Height: 124.9 mm; Width: 84.3 mm; Depth: 51 mm; Weight: 141 g
The dimensions may help you to get an idea of whether the size might fit.
Hello, there are a few differences between the MX Master 3S and the MX Master 3S for Mac.
These are explained well in this YouTube video.
Logitech MX Master 3s vs Logitech MX Master 3s for Mac (4 Differences)

There is no USB receiver, the mouse is Bluetooth and can be connected to 3 different devices. If necessary, download the Logitech application to pair the mouse.
I do not see a left handed version of MX Master 3S, however, there are some lefthanded mouse versions by Logitech, please check out this weblink below:

Hope this helps !
According to the data sheet, this variant should be specially optimised for the Apple ecosystem. At https://www.logitech.com/de-de/products/mice/mx-master-3s-mac-bluetooth-mouse.910-006571.html (Reinvented for Mac) you will find a short description where Mac-optimised colours are also mentioned. Unfortunately, I have not tested the Mac variant to be able to say whether the colour tone might be a little different, as for example with the predecessor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NFBqyd8IIk. However, if I compare the technical characteristics (DPI, battery capacity, dimensions, weight, buttons, etc.), everything should be identical. The main difference I noticed is that the Mac version should come with a USB-C charging cable and not with USB-A to USB-C like the other one. Also, the Mac version is designed for Bluetooth connections with MacOS devices and comes without the USB receiver (Logitech MX Master 3S (Wireless, Wired) should come with the Bolt receiver).
Defect or followed: Loud gliding.
I received the mouse today and tried it out straight away, I used the small MX Anywhere 3S all the time and both right next to each other. The MX Master 3S is super loud when sliding back and forth as normal. Also much more responsive. I'm not sure if this is intentional or a defect? I tested it on 4 different surfaces with both mice. 1) Leather pad 2) Logitech mouse pad 3) Glass 4) Paper. The MX Master 3S is really loud, rubs somehow. Doesn't feel like you're gliding over the surface, but rather like you're cleaning it....hmmm don't know what to do? Send it back? Is this a defect?
I had constant problems with the USB-Bolt receiver, terrible! I tried a lot and it kept jerking and stopped working. After disconnecting and reconnecting it worked again a bit. But not for long.
I then tried Bluetooth even with a cheap adapter on my old PC. Works very well, since then no problems for anything, for my applications in the office.
The new Bolt technology with the USB receiver didn't work for me! Not even with the Logi SW and x updates.
I wouldn't recommend this mouse for fast applications such as gaming etc., but it works very well for office connections via Bluetooth.
