Sorry, I was too quick and accidentally pressed the "send" button. So I would like to say:
You should actually also write what comes with the DVD drive, e.g. what kind of USB cable: with only one port or with two in case you need more power. I bought it and wasn't sure if the drive needed only one USB port. But it does.
It also comes with a CD of Nero. But unfortunately it is only a trial version :-(
Reading more or less worked. I could also write sometimes, but in most cases Mac did not recognise the empty disc. Compatibility with PC is definitely better.

Just bought it last week. It comes with a USB cable connector so if you have a USB port on your Mac mini you shouldn't need an adaptor (sorry don't know anything about Mac mini).

is problem of win10 with usb connected devices. but always present in explorer. have fun
