Why do you want a bridge function for it - then you forego 90% of what makes this router? Then you'd be better off buying a pure access point. Much cheaper and almost guaranteed to have a less cumbersome web interface.

I have a gbit cablecom connection and velop manages almost 300 mbit in parallel via wifi to three receivers. i only have a cable connection in the basement where there is an access point as an extension of the mesh network which networks the ps4. of course i only have the ps4 wifi connection that i can test and there the results are also around 300 mbit. unfortunately i have never tested direct cable. from a mu-mimo point of view, however, i can say that the part is convincing. BUT... i have to restart the network every 1-2 weeks. it could very well be due to one of the 50 or so devices i have networked, but i can't say for sure.

The wired ethernet port is a Gigabit port. Bandwidth for 2.4GHz radio is max. 400Mbps and for 5GHz radio 867Mbps. This means, that only on the WAN node (Internet in) you will enjoy up to 1Gbps on the wired port. Due to the fact, that the Nodes are wireless connected to each other 1Gbps will not reached on the other nodes (see Bandwidth above). I do have a 500Mbps line and have constant WiFi coverage throughout 3 floors (3 nodes connected) with Bandwidth between 50 and 150Mbps (WiFi) Hope this helps

That would be Bridge Mode. The manufacturer of Linksys says that this is supported. I have problems with DHCP. In Bridge mode you can see that the Velop DHCP is active. This is an error and perhaps also a reason why it doesn't work properly. Partly I see on my Android mobile "obtain ip address" and it doesn't work. After a few minutes it works. Just google Velop & DHCP problems & bridge mode. I'm sure it will be solved eventually. :-(

Hello Christophjans, The manual says nothing about this. However, it is indeed possible, but must first be set up via radio, as described on http://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=217442. However, mesh routers do roam. So you should set the same SSID in all stations. Then you can move around with your mobile device in the entire area covered by the radio and seem to always be in the same network. Works great! My purchase recommendation. Greetings Cherubjk

I had the same problem and contacted Linksys support after trying several times. The error was due to the fact that not everything worked correctly when setting up the 1st node. The support team connected to the nodes via remote maintenance and carried out the configuration. Now everything works perfectly.
