Kensington Magnetic privacy filter 13" MacBook Air & Pro
13", 16 : 10
The touch bar is not affected. The MacBook does not have a touch screen. The film is unsuitable for use with any other notebook with a touch screen, but it works fine with the MacBook.
No, it generally no longer fits 2020+ models because the dear Apple developers always have to change little things.
I use this privacy screen with the model MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) and it works wonderfully.
Doesn't seem so. Check out: https://customer.kensington.com/de/de/7954/blickschutzfilterkonfigurator
The film is magnetic (magnets only on the top edge) and has one glossy and one matt side. It is tailored to the Macbook Pro 13", but should also hold on other notebooks as long as the upper edge is also made of metal.
This is a privacy screen so that others cannot look at your screen. It makes the picture somewhat darker overall. Unfortunately, this is not suitable for your application.
For the MacBook Pro 16 there is this: Kensington Screen Film Magnetic Privacy Screen (16 ", 16 : 10) Unfortunately, we do not have a magnetic privacy screen for the MacBook Pro 14.
I have a 2020 MBP “13 with touch bar and the privacy protector fits perfectly into the raised edge of the lid on top/sides and a raised panel at the bottom part of the screen. When closed the MBP doesn’t close perfectly like before and frankly has 1mm air gap but I have it perpetually on for past 9 months or so and no cracked screen or fear of it. Also no dust or any other worries. Hope this helps.
Salut, I assume so, since the format of the display and the size ratios are identical. By the way, I am very satisfied with the filter. It is absolutely top. Greetings, Carsten
Yes. You will feel though sometimes that something is inside. I am used to it now. The big difference for me was when I remove it at home (its magnetic so easy to on and take out) was how good the retina display is as the shield makes the screen look basic and dim.
Unfortunately not, because the M1 has a larger screen (13.3").
yes, it closes nicely although there’s a half mm gap or less because of its thickness
I can confirm that. I have the same problem and therefore use the foil almost please
It depends on the dimensions of the seal on the edge of the screen. And there is a small recess at the top for the camera. Kensington itself sells a whole range via the following link https://www.kensington.com/de-de/c/products/data-protection/privacy-screens/?srt=relevance&rslt=45
Yes, it basically fits. However, the magnetic tape at the top of the film means that you can no longer close the lid so that it stays closed. The film is too thick for the magnetic closure to snap shut properly. But otherwise, the foil is practical to use because you can simply attach the thing like a magnet.
