These are active speakers (preamplifier already built into the left speaker). Only one cable is supplied for connection to the right speaker. On the back, the other speaker is connected to the aforementioned cable at the top (red and black terminal). Below, on the left, the supplied 20 V battery is plugged in. On the right is the line_in (signal input from the amplifier). A stereo mini jack plug is needed for this. The other end of the cable must have the plug that can be plugged into your amplifier line_out (signal output stereo) (raw wire for clamping, or RCA plug). You must get this cable with the appropriate length. A standard cable thickness is sufficient for 50W nominal power. Later you can also connect an active subwoofer (great improvement for bass range). Again, a mini-jack input in the middle between the power connector and line_in on the back of the left JBL speaker. Have fun, I am very satisfied (speech, music very good).

Regarding bass... it always depends on what is good and on your own preferences ;) I wouldn't operate them without a subwoofer... I only use them as effect channels (front high, Dolby Atmos). But once, when it was the European Championship and we were watching the games with a beamer and screen, I used the JBL as a stereo configuration without subwoofer... and they were completely sufficient... But for films? I can't say... I don't think so, because the drivers are just too small... You can order them, and if you need more bass, add a small subwoofer. Regarding the receiver... how do you want to operate the JBL? They are passive speakers and therefore need power from a receiver/amplifier etc.... How did you imagine that? :)

Helpful answer

Yes, the wall brackets are included, see the technical data sheet on page 4 https://static.digitecgalaxus.ch/Files/1/0/9/6/2/7/5/ControlONE2007OM.pdf The problem is the plastic ring (2), if you tighten it too much it breaks.
