No does not work properly! Especially not HDMI! In the end I bought Caldigit TS3 PLUS and since then I have never regretted spending so much money.
Halloo :D Yes, it is compatible with the MacBook Pro 2020. No, unfortunately it's a mini DP port, not Thunderbolt 2. Note that MiniDP is not compatible with Thunderbolt Display or Storage.
I use it with the Macbook pro 15 2018, works perfectly. Should also work with the 2020 in my opinion (https://www.hypershop.com/products/hyperdrive-pro-8-in-2-hub-for-usb-c-macbook-pro-2016-2017-2018?variant=1308502589465). Salut
I have also read about it. Some report that it has improved since the last OS update. I took a quick look at the adapter on the manufacturer's website and noticed that it only supports 4k@30Hz via HDMI. I would therefore not recommend it to you. But I still have an alternative for you: https://www.apple.com/ch-de/shop/product/HMX02ZM/A/caldigit-thunderbolt-3-mini-dock It's unfortunately a little less compact and more expensive, but it uses Thunderbolt3 and offers you two HDMI 4k@60Hz, USB 3 etc. with just one connection. In addition, the problem with the HDMI connection should not occur via Thunderbolt. Personally, I have a cheap USB dock like this for emergencies on the road, and otherwise I simply convert the cables of most devices to USB-C.
According to the information I found, the docking station should also be compatible with the Macbook Air 2019. If it doesn't work, you can return it.
