It is certainly splash-proof... Waterproof rather not. Whether it works with the hero12 should be checked on the official gopro website
I don't think so. I don't have a Hero8, but the 9 and 10 have grown 5-7mm in length, width and height. So this "lid" should be too big for the Hero8.
USB Passthrough Door is not compatible with the Media Mod. The cover on the GoPro must be removed for the Media Mod, but there is a USB-C port on the Media Mod that can be used for charging.

Unfortunately, compatibility is only guaranteed with the Hero 10 and Hero 9.
