Question 1. I assume that the Chromecast is connected to the Denon receiver via HDMI input, right? Then the TV does not necessarily have to be on to listen to music. Yes, with the "normal" CC you can also only listen to music. Resolutions up to 48kHz, 16bit. The CC Audio can handle up to 96kHz, 24bit. Question 2: No, that's pretty much impossible. The CC Audio only has cinch or Toslink.

Yes, that works. I also had it in operation like this... with PC to FritzBox and Cromcast via the FritzBox WLAN.

I am no longer sure if an adapter for 220 volts was included (everything is nicely stowed behind the unit...). A common telephone charging adapter can be used. Caution is advised if you use a repeater. For me, the Chromecast does not work with repeater (Huawei) when I switch it off perfectly.

It only works with a smartphone. But if you listen to music and deactivate the Wi-Fi, for example, the music continues to play. Initial but started via smartphone. And it has a 3.5 mm audio out instead of HDMI (which is an advantage if you only stream music).
