You mentioned in your original post, that you will offer lower speeds around summer (1 Gbps, 5 Gbps). 1) Will it be possible to downgrade in case someone buys now the 10 Gbps? 2) How easy will this process be? I imagine that since there is no minimum period, this should happen immediately by the end of the month without any further complications. Is this correct? 3) Any ideas on the pricing for the lower speeds? 4) Other routers also possible in the future? Thanks!

My OTO socket is (unfortunately) located in the fuse and distribution box in my flat. There are only RJ45 sockets in the rooms, which have to be patched accordingly in the box. I would therefore have to place the Zyxel router in the fuse and distribution box. The WLAN signal would therefore probably be correspondingly weak. Is there also a kind of "WLAN box" for the router (as with the competition)? Or how do I solve this WLAN problem? Thank you in advance for your expertise and assessment.

I think you should also offer a 1 Gbits line in the subscription where it is much cheaper. Because with the latest smartphones and Macbook pro you only get about 1-2 gigs of wifi on the 5Ghz frequency with a 10Gbits line. And if I want to connect this to the Macbook pro with a cable, I need an expensive 10Gbits Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter. As the adapter Apple sells only has a speed of 1 Gbits.

Our house is connected to the fibre optic network, but there is still no fibre optic socket in the flat. According to the property management, the Internet provider (in this case Galaxus) will send a technician to bring the fibre optic connection into the flat and install a corresponding socket. From https://helpcenter.abos.galaxus.ch/hc/en-us/articles/25105289074578-No-fiber-socket-available, I saw: "Please note that the installation of a fiber socket requires the consent of the property owner and/or management." Question 1: do I need to ask if my property management agrees to install fiber, before I place the order to Galaxus? .... or alternatively Galaxus would contact my property management instead? From the same webpage, I saw: "The costs are not covered by us. If costs arise, you will be informed in advance. Depending on the situation, these costs may be covered by Swisscom / Sunrise as part of the basic fiber expansion. Otherwise, the costs must be borne by the owner or tenant. The latter applies if your landlord refuses to cover the costs." Question 2: if my landlord (property management) refuses to cover the costs, how much do I need to pay (good to have an estimation)?

Init7 offers Fiber7 for CHF 777 per year, which is significantly more expensive than the Galaxus offer. I've been an Init7 customer for many years and have only used their 1Gbit/s offer so far. I have now asked Init7 what the advantage of the Fiber7 offer is compared to Galaxus. Answer from Init7: With Init7 you have "your own line and you benefit from full performance. Many other suppliers work with xgspon and P2MP and share this performance with other parties". What is the situation with Galaxus' 10Gbit7s fibre offer? Do I have "my own line" here or do I share the bandwidth with other fibre optic users? Does the difference in the technology used (xgspon, P2MP, etc.) even matter if I switch from 1Gbit/s to 10Gbit/s?

Can I continue to use my FRITZ!Box 5530 Fibre with the Internet subscription? I don't necessarily need a new router.

I am planning to switch to Digitec Internet, but I have to install the router in the technical room in the basement in order to distribute all the Ethernet cables to the rooms. As a result, the WLAN signal in the house is not sufficient. Is it possible to order two routers from Digitec and use them in parallel?
