I bought it once and did it myself. Although I still have experience with the old phones on this subject, I can say that thanks to instructions from Fairphone and /e/, it's child's play to do it yourself. However, you are still a bit limited as far as apps are concerned. Some data octopuses like Snapchat don't work, so I'm working on getting them to work somehow. But apps like PostFinance can't be started either, they crash immediately. I was given the tip that I don't have to install BusyBox, which I will install if necessary. :) If you still have questions, I could answer them for you, because I have the device in front of me.

Hi, thanks for the info. I will keep it in mind. I'm with Swisscom and haven't had this problem yet. I hope you continue to enjoy the Fairphone. I am very satisfied with it.

Quelle: https://www.fairphone.com/en/legal/fairphone-3-warranty/#6claimingyourwarranty Zitat: "If You are running a different operating system on your Product and want your Product to be covered by this Warranty, we will require You to revert back to the software embedded in the Product at purchase."

Hello Soldier9945, I also considered flashing the Fairphone3 with /e/. However, I have read that there is a risk that the device can be broken, making it unusable. Greetings!

The quality and volume on the phone are as good as on any other smartphone I've had. When it comes to listening to music, it's a question of what you want. For me, it's good for listening to music or watching YouTube on the side.

Helpful answer

I charge my battery when the battery level is around 20%. I charge it to about 80-85%. I then use the phone for about 36-48 hours. I use it a lot during the day and switch it to flight mode at night. All I have around the phone is the bumper that comes with it. I have easily dropped it 20 times from various heights. It still looks like it did on the first day. Since the bumper seems to be doing its job, I haven't bothered with a cover.

There are 100 Spirit-FM apps in the app store and they all use streaming, if you tell me which app to install I can try it out. What has always worked on the FP2 is SDR-Touch + a RTL-SDR USB stick .... if that was an option I would try it out for you on the FP3....

With Fairphone 2 parts available on digitec despite mixed sales, there is no risk in my opinion. The Fairphone 3 parts (whose expectation and hype is much higher than the FP2) will most likely be available on digitec for the life of the phone.
