The documentation says the battery lasts around 3-months even if the solar panel is not working. I’ve had the camera installed for 1 week - it’s set-up to optimise surveillance not optimise the battery, it’s made 150 recordings, the temperature has been around zero all week, and the battery is at 96% (it starts charging only when battery drops to below 97%)
Thank you for your comment. However, my question was solely about how automatic charging works, not about which camera supports it or whether solar charging is possible. You don't know where the camera will be mounted. There is no sunlight at this location, so the camera must be operated with mains power. The concept is: When the camera battery is low, an automatic circuit (like a switch) should activate the power supply and charge the camera. As soon as the battery is full again, the power supply should be interrupted automatically. To realise this, I need the following information: What current (amps) and power (watts) are required for this charging process via the power supply unit? Which USB-C cable is required? Given the many cables available (e.g. 100 W, 140 W, 180 W - 200 W), will a standard 30 W cable be sufficient? What specifications does the power supply need to have (e.g. 1 A, 3 A or 5 A) and what wattage is required?
Unfortunately do not use Homebase

Yes, you can control the camera from different mobiles with the app. The eufy app allows you to manage multiple devices and access the cameras as long as you are logged in with the same account.
Automatically generated from the .Local services via the network and the microSD card can be used without a plan. eufy does, however, offer a plan for cloud backups.

No, you don't necessarily need to buy the base unit (HomeBase S380) to use SoloCam S340. The SoloCam S340 can operate as a standalone device with 8 GB of internal memory to store recordings, and there are no monthly fees or hidden costs. However, if you want to benefit from additional features such as extended storage memory and BionicMind's ability to analyse and recognise what's going on in your home, purchasing the HomeBase S380 may be worthwhile.
Automatically generated from the .2 SoloCam next to each other works and is also a good idea to increase the monitoring area to 180 degrees.
Good day In principle, yes, but the hotspot should always be available, otherwise it doesn't make sense. I would recommend using an LTE router with a SIM card.
Can recommend you, have replaced the Arlo camera with this S340. The camera works exactly as I set it up, the solar panel does its job well, clear videos 3K, motion tracking good, siren audible, warning light signal also switches on, just set it up and it works:) The camera is great for the price
Yes, the camera has a tracking function and the application allows you to monitor several cameras (3 in my case).
The camera can only be used with the Eufy app. Eufy cameras with a power connection can also be used via RTSP Stream. But not the SoloCam. It is unclear whether they will release this via an update.
The cam has 8GB of built-in memory and this is not expandable. The memory of the HomeBase S340 is easily expandable. I use it to store 3 cams, and there is no foreseeable need for expansion.
Yes, the recording is saved on the camera or on the Homebase. Then you can call it up from outside at any time. Or you can access the camera live at any time from wherever you are and see what's going on at home.
Yes, exclusion zones are available.
