Yes, Ethernet over Powerline can be extended to Magic WiFi 1 using this device.
No, not a chance... I have three sockets and can no longer use the remaining two. The position of the plug pins is wrong and the remaining distance between the plug and the device is too small. I simply made do with an external power strip.

Am of the opinion that these products cannot be mixed (own synchronisation mechanisms)

I don't think so, because the Magic series is not compatible with others. It says so on the package. Rather the 1200+ devices.

Here it only has one plug in the scope of delivery. For a set, I would recommend this one: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/devolo-dlan-1200-wifi-starter-kit-1200mbits-powerline-3227473. This one would still have the WLAN function integrated. :)
