Yes, these RAM modules work, but I wouldn't install a 4GB RAM module. The Mac Mini Late 2012 can take a maximum of 16 GB, which I would take, because the surcharge is not very high. These work: G.Skill Ripjaws (2 x 8GB, DDR3L-1600 (PC3-12800), SO-DIMM 204 pin)

If I'm reading correctly, did you buy the 8Gb variant of the Crucial memory? According to the Synology manual, the DS218+ supports an upgrade to 6Gb (including the 2Gb internal). The 8Gb module will therefore probably not work.

Hello Lisa The memory is compatible - you have to remove the original 4GB module. SSD you can use any brand 2.5" and any capacity that your operating system supports. (W10 1TB no problem). I believe Samsung supply a transfer program for your system.... LG Karl

As far as I know, Kingston has stopped the production of this memory. I found the Crucial memory to fit my Acer Aspire 7741G with Crucial's Memory Advisor. My recommendation is to let a Memory Advisor search for the right memory type.

This depends on your notebook, which i do not know exactly. For my Lenovo notebook the Crucial CT102464BF160B works fine. You must check your notebook compability on the crucial website before you buy. There seems to be a problem with your notebook: maximum supported memory 4 GB. This means, that it will not work with the 8 GB Crucial CT102464BF160B because of limitation of the computers chipset. http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Toshiba/satellite-nb10-a-10u

According to Ross Fisher's blog (https://rossfisher.me/2015/12/synology-ds716-8gb-memory-upgrade/), this should work with this memory module, yes. However, some users report that the fan always runs at full speed after the upgrade. Others have no problems. P.S. I would definitely keep the original RAM module and put it back in case the device has to be sent in for warranty. (There is a sticker on the original RAM module that says "Garanty void if Removed").

Hello steve According to http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/macbook-pro-%2813-inch-and-15-inch,-mid-2012%29/CT3373653, this memory is certainly compatible with newer models. https://support.apple.com/kb/sp621?locale=de_CH says that your macbook can only be fitted with a maximum of 8GB, so don't order more than that. In my opinion, the chances are good that this memory will also work for your macbook. However, I cannot guarantee it. At a price of 34.90, I would simply give it a try. Greetings
