Yes, it is downward compatible.
Good question, that's about 60 minutes. Not all the time, though, because my R5 overheats at some point. I use 3 of the batteries and store on CF Express cards with 512GB. I have also tried noname batteries - I don't recommend them.
Prices are based on supply and demand, but also depend on the suppliers and the availability of the goods. They can also fluctuate on a daily basis.

Yes, the batteries are identical in construction but with more power.
If you mean LP-E6N, then it is the larger battery capacity of 2130 mA - that is 14% more than the LP-E6N battery. Basically, it fits where its predecessors did.
