The main difference between the Brother QL-1100 and the QL-1100c is the operating system support. The QL-1100c does not support certain older operating systems, such as Windows 8, 7 and macOS 10.14 to OS X 10.11. Both models use the same printing technology (direct thermal) and have similar technical specifications such as print resolution (300 dpi) and maximum print width (101.6 mm).
Hello Jeffrey
No, this printer has no toner. The black colour is created by applying heat to the special paper. It simply needs the appropriate labels.

My printer came with 1x DK 103mm x 164mm label tape and 1x DK 62mm x 8m continuous tape (samples). The QL-1100 uses the "DK" prefix labels from Brother. It doesn't matter whether it is a single label or a continuous tape.
Unfortunately, despite long conversations with the hotline and x different attempts, I didn't manage it. In the end, I returned this printer and bought the BROTHER
QL-1110NWB, everything went smoothly.
Yes, this is possible. Suitable labels are Brother DK-11247 (103x164mm) for parcel labels / foreign shipments. For normal CH addresses (generated by Webstamp) I use DK-11208 (38x90mm).
