I hope you have found your happiness at Cybermonday. If not, I'm sorry.
Both would work well. VR is compatible with PC with à GTX 970 at least (I suggest a GTX 1080 for being sure). Of course, it would depend on the game for the quality, but the 2080 and the 3080 would have no issues to running the VR correctly.

Hi. It's a Swiss Keyboard. And there is no one with US Keyboard...
According to the specifications on the ASUS homepage, the laptop has HDMI 2.0b https://rog.asus.com/ch-de/laptops/rog-zephyrus/2021-rog-zephyrus-s17-series/spec
Looked on ASUS, there are two versions of the display. The 165Hz WQHD variant or the 4K 120Hz variant. Which one is here? Or can you choose?
Hello, the description was taken from the same model S17 with the 2080. There are three versions, in the specifications listed you will see the correct information with the 3080. Greetings
56K modem? Well, I don't think it's built in, because this notebook is far too modern for that.
The description is indeed wrong, I checked the datasheet and the laptop has an RTX 3080 GPU and an Intel® Core™ i9-11900H processor. I have reported the error, it will be corrected as soon as possible.
Apples and pears are not the same. Just because a desktop and a notebook each have a graphics card called 3080 does not mean that they are the same. Notebook graphics cards are usually a slightly slimmed down version of the desktop version, starting with your question about power consumption and going on to some other things (number of cores, clock speed, memory bus, etc). Therefore, no. A notebook graphics card does not have 320W. https://www.computerbase.de/2021-01/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3000-laptop-gpu-test/
Nah, only has Arpanet.
Unfortunately, we do not have any real empirical data on this. We have forwarded the question to our community and hope that a user can provide input.
According to manufacturer's specifications: 1x 2TB M.2 NVMe™ PCIe® 4.0 SSD For lightbleed and illumination I can recommend this test (with pictures --> slight, irregular backlight bleeding) https://www.notebookcheck.com/Asus-ROG-Zephyrus-S17-im-Laptop-Test-Gamer-Gehaeuse-oeffnet-sich-fuer-mehr-Frischluft-cool-aber-ist-das-sicher.547012.0.html#toc-display-wqhd-und-viele-features Regarding the "exclusive ROG GPU Switch", I can only say that the battery life is better compared to similar devices. I assume you'll have G-Sync enabled throughout gaming and Optimus in office use ("power saving mode?"), but so far there have been no complaints that it switches back and forth during gaming and causes screen tearing. This is probably the reason why the battery lasts longer than comparable devices, the ROG GPU Switch has no other function as far as I could tell from the description. More info (e.g. screen specs) can be found here: https://rog.asus.com/ch-de/laptops/rog-zephyrus/2021-rog-zephyrus-s17-series/spec
