Yes, you can use the monitor as a docking station when you connect your HP EliteBook laptop via the USB-C cable. The monitor supports USB-C with 65W Power Delivery, which means it can supply your laptop with up to 65 watts of power via the USB-C cable. The monitor also has an integrated USB hub that you can use to connect additional peripheral devices. This allows you to realise image signal, data and power supply via a single cable. The prerequisite is that your laptop supports USB-C with Power Delivery. The monitor has a USB-C connection that delivers DisplayPort signal, data transmission and 65W power supply. This allows you to charge your laptop and connect it to the monitor at the same time.

The e Macbooks Air should be able to be connected to the display with a Thunderbolt-to-Displayport cable or a Thunderbolt-to-HDMI cable.

Yes, you can connect your 2018 MacBook Pro with four Thunderbolt ports to the ProArt PA279CV monitor using a USB-C connection. However, you may encounter compatibility issues with macOS, especially if you haven't updated your operating system or monitor firmware. Make sure to update macOS to a version later than 12.3.1 or download the monitor firmware update to resolve any connection issues.

Are you trying daisy chaining? In other words, connecting the monitor to another one? Unfortunately, this is only possible with the PA279 CRV, not with the CV.

As with other monitors that are connected via USB-C, various problems can occur. (The internet is full of them) Asus itself therefore says that this monitor is best connected to a Mac via Displayport. I myself am not entirely enthusiastic about this solution, as the various USB ports of the monitor then no longer work at all. I had the same problem, but have now connected the monitor via Displayport and calibrated it with a SpiderX. The settings are retained as they are saved on the computer. I'm not familiar with the settings provided on the monitor itself, but serious calibration is still best done with external hardware. Oh, and also digitec itself indicates that there are two video ports (including displayport) and one data port (the usb-c).

As far as I can remember, it was Display Port (not sure) and USB C cable (quite sure). I have not been able to connect 2 monitors to my MacBook, according to support it should be possible: https://support.apple.com/de-ch/guide/mac-help/mchl7c7ebe08/mac, but I have not been able to do it yet. A universal docking station from Dell didn't help either, but I have 2 different monitors at home. Maybe it would work with 2 identical ones...

Since no dealer in Switzerland or Germany has this monitor in stock, I would look around for alternatives. Besides, you can no longer buy it at Digitec. "General questions about our own orders, delivery times or prices should be sent directly to our customer service." https://www.digitec.ch/de/wiki/5340 https://helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc/de/requests/new

According to Asus, the dimensions are: Phys. dimension with stand (W x H x D) : 614 x (373.5~523.5) x 227.82 mm Phys. dimension without stand (W x H x D) : 614 x 369.9 x 59.9 mm Box Dimension (W x H x D) : 680 x 516 x 161 mm Therefore, I would guess that at the lowest position, the top edge of the monitor is 373 mm.

Yes, that will work fine, the info page from Asus says the following about the inputs and the possibilities, I would recommend connecting the monitor via USB-C: The ProArt Display PA279CV offers unprecedented USB-C, HDMI and DisplayPort compatibility for a wide range of multimedia devices. The integrated USB-C interface supports data transfers, DisplayPort functions and a 65W power supply. The PA279CV also serves as a USB hub. This means that a device connected via USB-C (with a C-to-C cable or a C-to-A cable), gains access to all peripherals connected to the USB interfaces.

The manufacturer only gives the following information: https://www.asus.com/ch-de/Displays-Desktops/Monitors/ProArt/ProArt-Display-PA279CV/ International colour standard with wide colour space coverage of 100% sRGB and 100% Rec. 709 ASUS does not specify the Adobe colour space.
