This is about the WiFi speed and not about the WAN/LAN ports. According to the router spec:
"802.11ax (2.4GHz) : up to 1148 Mbps
802.11ax (5GHz) : up to 4804 Mbps".
So 1*1148 Mbps + 2*4804 Mbps = 10756 Mbps
All mesh devices are compatible. However, I recommend a device with identical speed, which is how I have handled it. I have four routers for gamers via mesh for a strong W-LAN connection with many other devices as well as LAN via fibre optic network sockets.
I use the router with a cable connection from GGA Maut, you should have a box from Vodafone that has a normal network output, just connect it to the router (cable included) then it works.
The router does not have its own modem, so the connection is made via a normal LAN cable. It doesn't really matter which device you use to dial into the internet. The main thing is that you have a network interface on it.
Well, a single WLAN router with as many antennas as possible will never be as good as a WLAN mesh system when it comes to WLAN coverage. It might be more worthwhile to invest in a fast Wi-Fi mesh system that also offers good Wi-Fi coverage. The TP-Link X90 would certainly be an interesting alternative. It also offers a 2.5 Gbit/s connection.

I installed it on Friday and am with Swisscom. Everything went well for me, ping is even better than with the standard router, the coverage is much better as well as the speed in comparison. Adapter should theoretically not affect anything except the outgoing speed (you need at least 1 GB/s or more) and the second is the right LAN cable (with yellow connectors !). Setup was very intuitive and went very well.
Yes, that's possible, I did it too. Depending on whether you configure it as a direct router or as an access point, you can plug it in via the WAN or the normal LAN connection. If you have the new Swisscom router, you can also use the 2.5G connection.

Not directly, but you can use a fibre/LAN adapter to plug into the router. The router also has a 2.5GB LAN output, which is really fast if your house wiring allows it. I only have 1GB in my house, but it's enough.

I currently live in the country and have a relatively poor internet connection (neither 5G nor fibre). I am currently using a Fritzbox modem, which is also a bit older. I play on the ground floor and the modem is on the first floor.
Can I replace my existing Fritzbox with it and could I create a mesh connection on the ground floor where I don't have an internet connection? Would the internet improve so much, because my current repeater is only barely sufficient.
I'm a layman in this field, so some of the questions might seem a bit wrong :-)

A distinction must be made between the internet connection and the local WLAN.
The slow Internet connection via the telephone line is completely unaffected and will change in view. The ASUS router does not have a DSL modem. The current Fritzbox is still necessary.
The WLAN can, but does not have to, become better. The transmission power is limited for all of them. Whether Berta's will be better depends on many factors. In general, however, you can't expect miracles. It also depends on what is used now as FB and also on the PC.
It may be better to have a cable connection (LAN cable) installed or to install it yourself....
no. for normal use, the existing devices are completely sufficient. i replaced an old router with them, which was worth it. however, your devices have enough "plug" so that you won't notice any speed difference. the security functions are the same, apart from any functions offered by a third-party provider in the ax11000. these are free, but if you use them, the device reports network traffic logs to the third party - or at least this is not excluded in the agbs to be accepted. but if you don't want to use these additional security features, you don't have to accept the agbs.
Hello, I am very satisfied with the router myself. However, because of thick walls and too much signal loss in one area of the house, I am considering an AIMesh setup. For this I will have to buy a second router. It probably makes sense if the node is also TRI BAND or? At least that's how it reads best (since the AX11000 is TriBand). Does it matter if the node is Wifi 5 instead of Wifi 6? For example, the predecessor Asus GT-5300 is tri-band but not an AX router. Or would it be better to go for a dual band which corresponds to Wifi6?
