Charging via Qi? If I understood Apple's advertising correctly, you can charge the powerbank by plugging it into the iPhone and charging the iPhone via Lightning. In other words, the iPhone is supposed to charge the powerbank: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT212174 "You can also charge both devices by attaching the external MagSafe battery to the iPhone and then connecting the iPhone to a power source. This is a good option if you want to connect iPhone to another device while charging, such as when using wired CarPlay or transferring photos to a Mac." Is it also possible to charge this powerbank via a Qi charger? Has anyone tried that out yet? That would be a very nice advantage, not many powerbanks can do that yet.

When you plug the pack into the back and charge it, it also charges your phone. It acts as a Magsafe charger and vice versa, when you connect the cable to your phone, it charges the pack. However, I have heard in reviews that if you charge via your mobile phone, the battery of the pack charges slowly. It is best to connect directly to the pack, then it charges fastest.

1460mAh transferred over cable means more or less 1100mAh-1200mAh charged. With wireless charging, efficiency is much worse (additional 40-50% loss). So we could expect ca. 1000mAh from something that weights 100g. It's like 30% on 12 Pro Max o_O

Yeah on first glance it looks like that. But this powerbank has a higher voltage (around 7 Volt) than the batteries inside the iPhone (around 3.8 Volt). That menas you‘ll actually get more juice out of these 1460mAh. In reviews they got about 55-60% on an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Which still isn‘t all that much but more than 33% ;)

Yes you can but charges full slowly and only charges approx.40 to 50 protest when the powerbank is empty not recommended

I just want to summarise briefly: For just under 100 francs, people buy a 1460mAh battery that charges wirelessly, i.e. MUCH less efficiently, even though they could have a 20,000mAh Varta powerbank for 36 francs, for example? The voltage, which is almost twice as high, is less than a small droplet on a red-hot stone. At the end of the day, you are paying 40 times as much for the same power. 40 TIMES AS MUCH.

Well, I think the MagSafe gets warm and so does the iPhone. Maybe a bit more than when charging with a cable. But I've never really been bothered by it or noticed it in a negative way.

This is clearly aimed at millenials: Don't worry, by buying this proprietary accessory you're not making a definitive decision - everything remains freely combinable. Plus style, because it's also important when buying Apple. Probably from the same pen as the real estate advertisement that turns a gloomy panelled hell from the early 80s into an "investment property with country house charm".
