I have been using the black SKRUTT desk pad from IKEA (65x45cm) for a long time. Works tiptop with the Apple Magic Mouse 3, is also much bigger than a simple mouse button, you just have to wipe it with a damp cloth from time to time.

here is a nice review for you from someone with too much time on their hands: https://www.howtoisolve.com/apple-magic-mouse/ History Of Apple Magic Mouse That You Must Know In 2023. Apparently other than the year of release there is no difference between the 3 & 2. And yes the difference between the black and white mouse is the color. The 2 & 3 are both rechargeable with the lightning, magic mouse 1 takes a pair of AA batteries. So if it rechargeable it is a 2 or 3 and apparently there is no difference that I can see from any web page.

The Magic Mouse 2 is compatible with macOS Catalina, as it requires a Bluetooth-enabled Mac with OS X 10.11 or later, which includes Catalina (macOS 10.15). Users have reported successful use of the Magic Mouse 2 on iMacs running Catalina, provided the mouse is properly paired using the Lightning to USB cable supplied. However, some users have experienced issues with Bluetooth performance such as cursor skipping or lagging specifically on Catalina, which appear to be related to the Bluetooth stack in that macOS version rather than the mouse itself. These issues are not universal but have been reported in community discussions. In summary, the Magic Mouse 2 is officially compatible with macOS Catalina, but some users may encounter Bluetooth-related performance problems depending on their system configuration.

The Apple Magic Mouse, specifically the models released up until recent updates, are charged using a Lightning cable. Here are the key points: - Older models of the Magic Mouse 2, including those from 2022, typically come with a USB-A to Lightning cable or, in more recent cases, a USB-C to Lightning cable. - There has been speculation and some indications that future models might transition to USB-C charging ports, but as of the current information, the standard charging method is still via a Lightning cable. So, for the Magic Mouse 2022 (Wireless, Cable) with the product ID "MMMQ3Z/A", it is likely charged using a Lightning cable.

Unfortunately, this is due to Digitec's suppliers. We can only hope that this will improve soon. Until then, I would recommend the shop with the green M if you need the mouse immediately. https://www.microspot.ch/de/computer-gaming/peripherie/m%C3%A4use--c552000/apple-magic-mouse-maus-kabellos-office--p0002839055

Hi Frederik0, I've been using this mouse since it came out and all its predecessors too. I have had the best experience without mousepads. A texture-free tabletop is usually totally sufficient, at least for my application purposes (desktop publishing/technical image editing in Photoshop). At work it is a white tabletop and at home a wooden tabletop (beech) with little grain. The mouse works perfectly on both surfaces. With mice from other manufacturers, I sometimes had the problem that the mouse pointer on the screen did not move in the same way as the mouse on an uneven surface. I then laminated a grey cardboard with matt self-adhesive film.
