Unfortunately, I can't offer you a recommendation for your question, but I would advise you, if at all possible, to wait another 2-3 weeks, as it is likely that Apple will introduce more devices based on Apple Silicon in the near future (I expect mid-October). I also think it is likely that Macbooks with a new generation of Apple Silicon (potentially M1X) will be introduced and that they will be available in a reasonably short time (they are potentially already delayed). This will change the starting position or the "capabilities" for your requirements and then you can still decide whether there are better options for your situation with a "Macbook Pro 14" M1X" or whether you will find a good solution with M1. But otherwise about the device itself: I have the 13" Macbook Pro 16G/1TB and am 100% satisfied. The cam is crap, but otherwise it's by far the best device I've ever had and a huge difference to the 16" i9 or 13 2020 i5 Macbook. The performance and especially the efficiency is phenomenal.

Another addendum: We then decided on the Satechi USB Dual Car Charger V2 (digitec.ch/en/s1/product/sa...) and it worked wonderfully. Also with the HP EliteBook 840 G5. We deliberately didn't use an inverter because too much power is lost there. With the car charger, this works great.

Sorry for the impatience 🤓. I am aware of the "no guarantee" and the difficult supplier situation, but it was rather tedious for me as a customer when the status of the order switches back and forth almost daily from "expected tomorrow" to "expected end of January - end of February". I am also aware that in this situation you will probably not be informed of the exact number of units you will receive. Anyway, I picked up my device yesterday and I'm thrilled with it. (Switching from the 2020 Mid 13" by the way 🤦♂️) Many thanks for your efforts and happy holidays!
