The perception of colour is a very personal thing. I would look at the device live to get an impression. My personal assessment of this colour tone is more "black" than "blue". In strong light, you can at best get a hint of a subtle blue colour, but it doesn't catch the eye.

Well, it's just that you can see the marks pretty well. But: the colour is so great that I'm happy to put up with it. MacBook in midnight looks unbelievably great.
