This flexible RGB LED matrix features 256 small RGB LEDs (4.9 x 4.9 mm). The LEDs are already mounted on a flexible PCB. Multiple NeoPixel matrices can be connected in series, and each LED can be easily controlled individually via a microcontroller, such as Arduino UNO, Mega, Nano, ESP32, or ESP8266, using a single output. There are also many programming examples available; just search for NeoPixel or Fastled. We recommend adding a 3300 µF capacitor between GND and 5V to ensure a stable power supply, which will also help extend the lifespan of the LEDs.
Note: If you want to operate the WS2812B matrix with a 3.3V microcontroller like the ESP8266 or ESP32, you will need a Logic Level Converter.
