The thread insert press kit is a professional solution for the precise melting of brass thread inserts into 3D-printed components. The stable design is based on an aluminium profile bar which, together with a spring arm, enables precise vertical movements. The integrated 90 W soldering iron provides constant and even heat so that threaded inserts can be anchored cleanly and centred in the plastic. Assembly is completed in just a few minutes as the system is supplied 95% pre-assembled. Thanks to the adapter tips supplied for M2 to M8, different insert sizes can be processed flexibly. For optimum results, the processing temperature should be around 10-15 °C above the hotend temperature of the filament used. A standard soldering tip is also included so that the device can also be used as a classic soldering iron if required. Thanks to its compact design, the kit is suitable for workshops, maker spaces and professional 3D printing farms where particularly resilient screw connections are required.
