PrimaSELECT Ultem 9085 – Polyether Imide (PEI) 3D Printer Filament
PrimaSELECT Polyether Imide (PEI) Ultem 9085 is an amorphous, high-performance thermoplastic with a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 186 °C. This material is characterized by excellent mechanical properties, flame resistance (UL 94-VO), and a remarkable strength-to-weight ratio.
Material properties of PrimaSELECT Ultem 9085:
- Polyetherimide (PEI) 3D printer filament
- High-performance thermoplastic
- Excellent strength-to-weight ratio
- Superior mechanical performance
- Flame-retardant (UL 94-VO rated)
- Glass transition temperature (Tg) of 186 °C
PrimaSELECT Ultem 9085 filament offers high impact resistance, strength, and durability.
PrimaSELECT PEI filament has unique properties, as it does not come into contact with water during the production process and is packaged directly in a vacuum-sealed bag. These characteristics make PrimaCreator PEI filament particularly suitable for use in FDM and FFF 3D printers. The 3D printer Ultem material has excellent layer adhesion, resulting in significant improvements in impact resistance, strength, and durability. It provides high performance throughout the entire 3D printing process.
To achieve successful PEI 3D printing, there are a few things to consider. Your 3D printer must have the capability to meet the demands of the PEI filament. The material should be 3D printed with a nozzle temperature of 355-390 °C. The heated bed should be set to 120-160 °C, and a heated chamber is important. Also, ensure that your 3D printer is placed in a room with minimal drafts and temperature fluctuations.
PEI filament is best printed on a PEI plate with a print speed of 15-30 mm/s.
