9116B – Universal Ex Converter. The 9116B is a universal converter with 1 channel. The device is used for converting and scaling temperature, voltage, potentiometer, and linear resistance signals. It features a universal converter with 1 channel input for resistance thermometers, thermocouples, ohms, potentiometers, mA, and V. Reduced Uo Ex data: 8.3 V for active input signals. It has active/passive mA output and relay output. Configuration and monitoring are possible via a detachable front display (PR 4501); process calibration and signal simulation are also available. The configuration can be copied from one device to others of the same type via the front display. Please order the front display PR 4501 separately. Advanced relay configuration includes setpoint, window, delay, sensor fault indication, and power monitoring. It serves as a power supply and signal isolator for 2-wire transmitters. The device can be mounted in a safe area and in Zone 2 / Class 1, Div. 2, and can receive signals from Zone 0, 1, 2 and Zone 20, 21, 22, including M1 / Class I/II/III, Div. 1, Gr. A-G. It is SIL-2 certified through comprehensive assessment and is designed, developed, and certified for use in SIL-2 applications according to the requirements of IEC 61508. An LED on the front indicates operating status, fault, and relay status. There is galvanic isolation of 2.6 kV ac between input/output and supply.
