Mit den Kämpfen von Bound by Flame verbindet mich eine Hassliebe. Das ständige Abwarten, Blocken und Kontern macht die Auseinandersetzungen nicht nur träge, sondern auch ziemlich schwer. Lockere ich nur einmal zu früh meine Abwehr, droht direkt der Bildschirmtod. Obwohl ich mich blockend bewegen kann, fehlt hier eine schnelle Ausweichrolle...
Bound by Flame hatte das Zeug, Sympathien zu gewinnen, und in den ersten Stunden dachte ich auch noch weit besser über das Spiel. Die Figuren waren trotz teilweise eher neben der Spur laufender Dialoge nett genug, die Handlung ließ sich harmlos vertraut an und alles lief auf ein paar solide Action-RPG-Abende hinaus...
Jede Zutat dieses Rollenspiel-Eintopfs ist gut ausgewählt. Und doch hat Bound by Flame Probleme: Das Kampfsystem setzt auf einen gewagten, aber gelungenen Spagat aus Dynamik und Konter bzw. Paraden, wird aber von der maroden Kameraführung und fiesen Gegnerzusammenstellungen torpediert...
