Enjoy sharper, clearer images with a wider spectrum of brighter, more vivid colors and realistic long-term data protection with M-DISC support. M-DISC (DVD, BD: SL25GB / DL50GB / TL100GB) read and write support, introduced by Millenniata, Inc. Longer product lifespan with enhanced drive software to reduce degradation of read performance from dust and cigarette smoke, featuring high dust resistance and improved drive software. As a result, the S12UHT has about twice the lifespan of conventional models. Store more data: up to 156% more capacity than a 50GB dual-layer Blu-ray disc. The BDXL format supports Blu-ray BDXL media (including 128GB Quad Layer (QL) and 100GB Triple Layer (TL) Blu-ray discs). Faster recording: up to 16x2 single-layer BD-R, 14x BD-R DL, and 8x triple-layer BD-R. Smooth movie playback: QuickPlay reduces the time between inserting a ROM and the finished disc. Ready for DVD and Blu-ray discs, faster than previous Pioneer drives.
