• RDIMM 2Rank: 256GB RAM (2 x 8 x 16GB RDIMM)
• LRDIMM: 512GB RAM (2 x 8 x 32GB LRDIMM)

Registered DIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already present or completely upgrade to RDIMM memory.

Principles of memory configuration:

• There are 4 memory channels per CPU, each with 2 memory slots
• Registered DIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed
• Memory slots without a processor present must not be populated

Memory configuration for good system performance:

• Distribute the memory evenly across the memory slots and evenly across the CPUs
• If more than one CPU is present, the memory per CPU should be identical (mirrored to the other CPU).
