• Each CPU supports 8 DIMM slots.
• You can use RDIMM or LRDIMM memory. LRDIMM memory is particularly recommended when large memory capacities are required.
• Registered DIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules should not be mixed. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already present or upgrade completely to either RDIMM or LRDIMM memory.
• Memory slots without a processor present should not be populated.
• Higher memory frequencies may adjust to other memory timings in the system environment and support correspondingly slower clock rates.
• The 2933MHz memory can be used in systems with 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors.
